Western Mass Chimney Services

Western Mass Chimney Service came to our house because we had another company tell us that our chimney liner was cracked and to repair it it was going to be 2300.00. Looking for a second opinion we called Western Mass Chimney Service. Rob came out and inspected our chimney and found that the chimney was in good working order. The crack that the other company found turned out to be a water stain that did actually look like a crack. When he was done he left us with a inspection report and didn't charge a fee for his service. Will call again when its time for a cleaning

we had several chimney companies come over and give us an estimate on our chimney that was pulling away from the house. After some careful thought we had Western Mass Chimney Services do the work.They arrived when they said they would and did a great job in rebuilding our chimney. After they were done they cleaned up the mess and took away all the debris. We had a excellent experience and would not hesitate to recommend them in the future

We hired Mr. Boido and Western Mass Chimney Service to repair our chimney. He gave us a very reasonable quote so we decided to hire him. He arrived when he said he would and did a great job on the chimney. When he was finished he noticed that our front steps were loosing the mortar between the joints and repaired them at no cost. When he was finished with the job they cleaned up the area. when they were here Rob and Glen kept us laughing all day

Rob Boido, the proprietor of this outfit, rebuilt two small chimneys for me and installed a gas-fired fireplace insert during the summer of 2007. (It took him all summer.) The wind blew down a duct cap from one of the insert ducts in March of this year, 2008. I called Boido to ask him to fix it. He has put me off all summer. Early June I put up my own tall ladder to look at the chimney, and discovered that Boido had not only not capped the chimney at all ( the ducts lay unattached in the open chimney) but also he had not bothered to mortar the lead flashing to the chimney in the back, where it can't be seen from the ground. After I contacted the Better Business Bureau, Boido did drop by and he climbed my ladder to look at what he had (not) done, and promised me to fix it. He told me he only had to mail-order a special part and as soon as that came in he would come by and finish the job. That July 29. Now it is August 27, and apparently he has decided that he can not afford to keep his word. He has failed to respond to the Better Business Bureau and to Angie's list.
