My roommate and I were, as I like to say, swindled by Maven Realty. We signed a lease, gave them somewhere around $5000 in good-faith monies, and still haven't gotten a landlord-signed lease more than 60 days after being verbally promised the apartment and signing the lease ourselves.
The owning company, Keegan Contracting, is also a party to look out for. Despite telling me, in no uncertain terms, that the lease was in the mail several times over a period of several weeks...no lease yet. We've sent them a 30 day demand letter and are filing a complaint with the state licensure board, and if anyone else should be in a similar situation, Massachusetts is very progressive in terms of consumer rights and, on top of it, all of their codes and regulations are available online: www.mass.gov.
When we finally got our money back, Manish was extremely abusive over the phone, name calling and threatening that no one would ever work with me again. Stay away from these people.
