We are an independent coffee shop in Ball Square, Somerville.  We like to think that we represent what a neighborhood coffee shop should be.  At True Grounds you can grab a gourmet cup of joe to go or you can lounge with the paper on one of our couches; you can crack a laptop and hammer away or you can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air.  You can always find a good conversation or quiet solitude depending on your mood. 


We're proud to say that we offer the best coffee, breakfast, lunch, music, art, and overall cafe atmosphere in the entire area.

We believe community is at the heart of a great coffeeshop. And with that in mind, True Grounds sponsors and presents various programs and events to bring our True Grounds goers together. Come share good coffee, food, music, games, art, stories, and more with us!
