She is completely disorganized and dishonest. Consigning with her was an extremely disheartening experience and I would strongly recommend that you not do business with her either as a consigner or as a buyer. I hate to write such a negative review, but she earned this one.

Lisa's Closet in Newtonville is not a good place to bring clothes and accessories for consignment. Lisa's business practices are either disorganized or dishonest, or both. I called several times to ask if any of my items had been sold. I was told "no." However, when I showed up at the shop to retrieve the items, I was informed an item had been sold and the rest were "in storage". Despite my phone calls and visits to her shop, she has not returned my unsold items to me. Her story to me, over and over again, was that the items were "in storage". In August, she said she would retrieve them in September. When I went to her shop in September, I was told by an employee that one item was sold and the remaining items were "in storage." . I called her this AM, and after unpleasant words, Lisa told me once again that the unsold items were "in storage" and that she would be donating them to charity.

Lisa's Closet in Newtonville is horrible! I can't believe this lady is still in business. I am sure you got some really nice things Julie E., because Lisa seems to rip off the customers who bring their stuff in.

I have found some amazing pieces at Lisa's Closet. Since there is always parking right in front, I run in every chance I get. I've found everything from really awesome vintage jewelry to a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes for only $40 and they looked brand new! Lisa's Closet is definitely worth checking out, just don't snatch up all the good stuff before I do :P
