Portobello Road, "a store with a soul" only minutes from Boston located in Chestnut Hill is the ultimate shopping experience. Portobello Road named after the London Street where the eclectic, the special, and the beautiful are all for sale along a bazaar-like avenue. This retail shopping store; a boho-chic emporium is truly a sanctuary—wander through 5000 sq feet and take in everything from fabulous women’s clothing and accessories; to fresh flowers, plants and arrangements; to linens, housewares, antique furniture, beautiful jewelry, cool music, and gifts for babies and children. It is a “store with a soul” because the owners, best friends Marina Kalb and Kristina Lyons, handpick every item for its style, craftsmanship and design integrity, and are also committed to featuring products that are eco-friendly and fair trade. Portobello Road is more than a store: it is a community and gathering place for people with a shared sensibility and outlook. Open for just one year, Portobello Road has a devoted following of customers who are looking for hip, cool clothing, new and interesting designers, and a chance to create their own special look. While the store is designed to be efficient place to fulfill all your shopping needs under one roof, the experience is also sensually satisfying, tempting you to poke around and discover your own treasures while surrounded by fresh flowers, scented candles, groovy background music and a warm and attentive sales staff. Portobello Road is like no other store in the Boston area. Kristina and Marina bring their own special style, developed largely during their globe-trotting days, to Portobello Road, and have given all their customers the opportunity to find and express their own personal style.

This is my new favortie store. If you like Midnight Garden on the Vineyard or Anthropologie....this store takes it to the next level....I went for the first time yesterday and cannot wait till I have a chance to visit again. Staff was engaging, informed and just cool!

Portobello Road in Boston is a fabulous store. It does have everything you possibly need in one store. I would not call ii a mish-mash of stuff. As a woman, how great is that I can purchase an adorable dress and coat for an evening out and buy gifts for friends and family. I do not need to go to 5 different places to buy it. Also, baby clothes for the little ones. Those who value clothing and know how to shop well will love Portobello Road.

I stopped by Portobello Road in Chestnut Hill for the first time a few weeks ago. I'm happy to say that they are by far one of the best stores in Newton. If you like Anthropologie, you'll like Portobello Road. They carry such unique clothes, accessories and home decor. And the layout of the store is just beautiful. I'll definitely be making the quick drive from Boston to visit Portobello Road again.
