Sayles Seafood

A real local's joint. Only those in-the-know on Nantucket know about Sayles Seafood and we were let in on this secret. Don't expect a dining area other than plastic tables and chairs on a rickety porch, and don't expect table service. With commercial development in the neighborhood don't expect peaceful gardens either. Walk way down Washington Street until you think you've gone too far, then keep walking. You'll see it on the right but you'll think it's someone's house. Go inside through the front door and observe the fresh seafood on display in the glass cases. Notice how giant the fillets are! Notice how fresh the scallops are! Notice the lobster that literally just came in off the boat! Buy yourself some fresh seafood to cook up at home, or just order something to go. I got the lobster roll. That's all I went for. I ate it. it was delicious. I was full. I was very happy! I'd totally go back. But please, keep it a secret K?
