Company of The Cauldron

I will absolutely say that the dinner my wife and I had at Company of the Cauldron this past weekend was the best dinner I think we've ever enjoyed together. Certainly the atmosphere at Company of the Cauldron has much do to with it, and Nantucket lends itself to that quite a bit. We were there for the 8:45 seating and by about 10:30 we were just beaming with satisfaction. I can't even explain the food - I'm still wondering how they pulled that off. Wine and port selections are excellent. Service is absolutely perfect. As Ali. S points out below, make sure you make your reservation weeks in advance.

I really don't know how to begin this review. This was one of the most delightful evenings I have spent having dinner with my husband. The Company of the Cauldron is a unique and wonderful place and I highly recommend splurging to enjoy their tasty offerings. The chef offers a prix fix menu, where reservations are necessary well in advance, I would say about a month to three weeks! Worth it - BY FAR. About a week or so before your visit to Nantucket, you can grab a look at the menu on their website. There are only two seatings a night, 6:45 and 8:45. I was glad to be at the 8:45 seating as it was the end of the night and it could be more relaxing to enjoy that cup of coffee or glass of port. The food was outstanding with much attention given to the perfection of their offerings and the service was extremely attentive, but not overbearing. I might even say, if you have something special to celebrate, heading to the island, JUST to have dinner here, would be memorable!
