Georges Landscaping By George in Malden Center is AWFUL! DO NOT USE HIM!!!!! My wife and I used him this year to do a spring clean up as well as some other landscaping. He was initially very prompt. He came over to give an estimate the day after I called him and dropped off the written statement within a day or so of the initial visit. The work then statred ~ 1 week later. The crew he sent did the basics of what we asked like edging the beds, spreading new mulch etc, but did not do the major things. Gerorge had convinced us that instead of pulling up the old tarp in our flower and shrub beds, it would be better to put down a herbicide and then re-mulch. I was skeptical but he assured me that he had been doing this for 20 years. I said O.K. but said I wanted the beds weeded, not just weed whacked. Well low and behold 1 week after the work was done, we had weeds growing up thru the mulch. Moreover, he was supposed to weed within all the beds but on closer inspection, we noticed a number of weeds, dandilions, etc within the actual flower beds. They were also supposed to turn up the lawn and then put down herbicide (to kill the crab grass) and fertilizer. This was never done b/c we still have crab grass. In nay case, I will reiterate... DO NOT USE GEORGE'S LANDSCAPING. HE IS AWFUL!
