Busa Liquors

I had an extremely similar experience at Busa in Burlington. My wife who is Asian had my son and daughters with her and after she provided ID she was told that she could not buy alcohol unless each of the children could provide school IDs (which they did not have with them). I'm not Asian and had the purchased alcohol with the same children present without issue. When I called and asked the store manager he told me that they card Asian women because he has a difficult time judging their age but was not able to justify asking for student IDs from my children with the exception of saying the store is at liberty to serve whomever they want at their own discretion. I'm convinced that my wife was treated inappropriately based on her ethnicity.

Terrible service, borderline discrimination/xenophobic. Everyone I've complained to about this place told me they never go there. The employees are cold, ignorant and rude. They won't accept passports, in one of the biggest tourist towns in MA. Nor State liquor IDs. Basically they don't want to serve anyone that's not a towny like themselves. They took my friends State Liquor ID, bent it so hard that the plastic distorted and claimed it was like that to begin with, then said they don't accept MA State liquor ID's. (Then why did you even try to check it?... No response) Also, they didn't card the women in front of him, who happened to be a more plain looking blonde women. My friend has more 'ethnic' features and a different style but ee's 30 years old! I recommend Berman's near Arlington if you need a larger variety, or Woodwards (a smaller more genuine family business across the street next to Walgreens). But I will forever BOYCOTT BUSA'S, They are highly discriminatory!
