We have gone here more than a handful of times because of the hope that it will be better each time. First impression was great, true to the area with old colonial charm, food was good as well. However, their seafood is not fresh at all. We ordered shrimp cocktail and had the plate sent back to the kitchen because they were warm and extremely pungent. We still went back after for another shot and this time around there was a little dark and curly hair in my food. Which actually came to me as a blessing because the stuffed haddock that was ordered didn't smell fresh at all. Plate was returned and removed from check. People are very friendly, old world charm exists, it's just to bad that the food has failed miserably 70% of time. Last time for good. Can't get passed the stinky seafood and hairy plates. Call me traumatized. It's worth the price to go to Gibbet.
