I'm a hardcore cyclist riding 125+ miles per week. I've been riding a Trek Madone 5.1 that I bought last year at Cycleloft in Burlington. I wasn't sure it was set up right (fit-wise), as I had back pain and tendinitis in my knee. At the recommendation of the guys in my cycling club, I went to see Hassam (ATA's owner) in the Concord shop. Hassam is a bike-fitting genius!
Hassam will of course sell you a new bike if he can, but I made it clear i wasn't in the market for a new bike (this year) and wanted to make the current bike work. He did his magic -- 2 hours for $150 -- and made a dramatic change to my position. He moved the seat 2-3" and the handlebars 1-2"! This change was from the "professional" fit I got at Cycleloft. Long story short, the boost in my power was immediate, and my knee and back pain disappeared.
Anyone who rides bikes at all seriously will tell you that bike fit is VERY important. Hassam is one of the best fitters in the country. As a result, I will look to ATA for my next bike purchase.
I'd contrast this with Cycleloft. When I bought the bike the shop owner looked at me and, without measuring, said "you're 6'4" so you need a 64cm bike" (way off on that, in hindsight). So I spent $3000+ for a bike that is the wrong size.

WORST! WORST! WORST! I tried several bike shops in Cambridge. I do not hesitate to say ATA CYCLE is simply the WORST. People there do not have knowledge, suggested a wrong item even when I brought my bike with me, and refused to refund. They gave me a store credit, which is useless because they do not have items that fit my bike. The people in ATA CYCLE are very UNFRIENDLY. I wish I could give no star. AVOID ATA CYCLE unless you want to waste your money.
