What on earth is simpler and more superbly delicious than pie? A distinctly American treat, pie is versatile and symbolic comfort food at its very finest. But in the world of Cheesecake Factories and Duncan Hines, the art of the perfect pie is fast nearing extinction.
Enter Renee McLeod, pie artiste extraordinaire. Armed with her grandmother's crust-constructing knowledge and a fabulous sense of whimsy, McLeod has created a flawless pie haven, a tiny, adorable niche nestled on Beacon Street in Somerville. Once you walk into Petsi Pies, all the noises of the city disappear. You feel like you've stepped into some kindly grandmothers kitchen, where there's no problem that can't be fixed by a hot pie fresh out of the oven.

Pies and goodies!

Great place to just hang out and read. I would just go there for the atmosphere (good music, interesting local art, ect.) so the really great food and coffee is a nice surprise and something unique in this area.

Petsi's key lime pie is the best there is. I have toured the Florida Keys tasting this tart/sweet pie and am so thankful I can find my favorite version of it right here. Of course, strawberry rhubarb is another one Petsi gets right, and the pecan. . . .and her array of cookies is just too, too tempting, her snickerdoodles being irresistable.

The best pie you can find in Harvard Square, and in my opinion the best pie in Cambridge. This little bakery and cafe is really excellent. They have two locations, one on Putnam St. in Harvard square and the other on Beacon St. in Somerville. I recommend their scones, fritatta, and sandwiches. I didn't think I'd like the savory pies, but they were actually amazing. And of course, their staple is the sweet fruit pies. They have a lot of pie varieties, and they're all amazing. Thumbs up!
