Finale Desserts in Coolidge Corner is a good idea that comes up short on service and taste. There are salads, sandwiches and soups in addition to sweets and a full bar. This is the second time we've eaten at Finale's, hoping the second time would be better. However, two of us spent about $50 for lunch despite ordering at the counter. It's sort of like Panera's only a lot quieter--that's nice--and more money--that's without any alcohol, and we weren't gluttons. The food is ordinary--good, but not that good.

Bad food quality for an establishment trying to position itself as upscale and chick.
The cakes are served frozen, got served a soup with pieces of powder floating in it.

Best chicken salad sandwich in Boston. The deserts speak for themselves. Must try in Coolidge Corner.
