i went and saw Wackness lastnight (really recommend it!) and it was my first time there and my jaw just dropped when i walked in the theatre, i really felt like i was going back in time to see a humphrey bogart film, i LOVED it.

I was in the mood to see a movie last night and knew nothing was out in the cinemas. Living down the street from Coolidge Corner Theatre now I decided to see what they were playing. Ended up seeing a great film, Brick Lane. I haven't been here in a few years now, it really is beautiful inside. Definitely check out a movie here if you have never been, I saw a bunch of good movies coming out for July. Buy tickets in advance for some, 1 was sold out last night.

Best place to catch indie flicks and avante garde in, well, in the northeast as far I'm concerned. Clean, friendly, and always a good audience.

Please understand that this is an old-time movie theatre and the great thrill of seeing a film here is not the comfort but the experience of not going to a multi-plex. If you are in Boston for your first time and this is how you deign to spend your time, then you probably will enjoy the experience.

This is a movie palace that really doesn't need an introduction. It's one of the most well known movie houses in the country, let alone Boston. With features ranging from avante garde, indie, and mainstream, even if the movie isn't to your liking, the venue itself will make up for it. If you're in Boston for your first time, make sure you stop in, even if just to look around inside.
