The Red Fez, established in 1940 and reopened in February 2002, focuses on the specialties of the Middle East and the Mediterranean. It is a moderately-priced restaurant with an exciting but casual atmosphere. The menu is divided into three parts: mezze (appetizers), salads, and entrees.
The Red Fez also offers a prix fixe dinner choice - for example, a variety of the chef's favorite hot and chilled mezze, salads, entrees, and desserts.
I came to the Red Fez for the first time last week and it's my new favorite spot in the South End. The French Potatoes are a perfect addition to their already fabulous champagne cocktails.
I took a lady friend to the Red Fez for dinner the other night and it was very tasty. We started with the Mediterranean plate, which consisted of dolma, hummus, and three other dips. I had the lamb kabobs and they were awesome really tender. I can't wait for the weather to get nicer so i can sit out on the patio!!
