I really want to like Gaslight. I've been there twice for dinner and twice for brunch. Sometimes the food is great, sometimes it's just ok. The waitstaff is nice, and the atmosphere is my favorite part - really feels like a restaurant in France. Steak Frites are great for dinner, breakfast French Toast is my fiance's favorite.
The Gaslight is right next to my office and it is a great place to wind down after a long day. The staff is extremely friendly and they have an amazing selection of beverages. The food is excellent and the experience has a classic European flare, an elegant bistro if you will.
Just found out about Gaslight recently. Great atmosphere at the bar, drinks are priced at what you would expect to pay for an average bar in Boston, although they're much better than average. Dining area is well separated from the bar so you can eat in peace if you choose. Definitely highly recommended!
What a great selection of spirits. I was pleasantly surprised that they had such a nice, sophisticated selection of scotch, bourbon, whiskey, and such. The bartender was very nice, and the bar manager was quite friendly as well. They've priced their spirits very intelligently, and that makes me even happier that they're a neighbor!
The food was great! I loved the pommes frites, but my fav was the grilled pizza with lamb, olives, and cheese - yum.
Perfect for a casual date. A really welcoming vibe, with a quick and knowledgeable wait staff. The food was excellent. I highly recommend a cheese plate; it has a mix of strong and light cheeses made from both goat and cow's milk. Although I didn't try any wines, the selection is extensive enough to keep any wine aficionado happy. Avoid the "pommes frites," however - they clearly came from a bag in the freezer.
I have driven by the work being done for several weeks now. Finally the opening is around the corner! Cannot wait.
I can't wait till they open! I will be there on opening night for sure... this is definitely going to be my new hot spot!
I'm with you guys on this one. I love trying new places, and this bar looks pretty sweet. See everyone there!
