As a former employee of TLC, there are a few things you should know about Tremont Laundry & Cleaners (TLC): 1. They will lead you to believe that they have hot water; they do not! Thus, it makes absolutely no sense to separate your darks from your whites (unless, of course, you have new articles of clothing that may bleed). 2. If you're a WDF customer you should request that your laundry be weighed AFTER it has been washed, dried and folded. They weigh laundry as soon as it's brought in - dirty clothes weigh more! Too, they add an extra pound or two to the total amount ($1.00 per pound adds up!). 3. WDF customers should also request to know precisely which Attendant is doing their laundry. When I instituted a WDF log so that each Attendant would be held responsible should any problem arise, I was told that 'it's too much work' (in actuality, it takes all of 10 seconds). 4. When I started rolling a hair salon's towels instead of folding them (they look more professional - and the salon appreciated it and asked that we continue doing it that way), I was told, again, that it's too much work and that the salon can roll their own towels (shouldn't we, then, ask the salon to fold their own towels??). And they wanted to charge the salon more for this service! 5. Although the machines are very old, the customers are often put at blame whenever the machines go out of order. I resigned from TLC because of the lack of team work and customer service. I could no longer support a business going in the wrong direction. I do wish them all the best and hope that some day - SOON! - they will realize that it's about CUSTOMER SERVICE. No company can survive without it.

Okay this is a respnse to PRINCE C. i liked what you had to say except for a couple of things 1: vivian is not as slow as how you say "molasses"! the thing is is that she tries not to make mistakes which has happened a lot in the past because of careless people who like to flirt and look pretty. And yes some times she can be a "know-it-all" but she doesn't mean to shes just cool like that. and if you are going to insult its best that you get your facts straight because if you knew what was happening behind the scenes you wouldn't be talking! Okay first of all Ryan P. who cares if you used to [yes, used to] be a client. You're acting like you're the only one who goes there, well you're not. Yeah, they have plenty of clients and who cares if one customer leaves because new people come in every week basically. Oh , and who cares how long you had to deal with [MARK] being rude which he's not! And have you ever stopped to think that maybe people were the ones who were messing up the machines because they don't know how to use them. Yeah, people don't know how to use washers or dryers and that is why they get ruined and have to be put out of order. So i say that all the people who work there are not at fault of whether the machines are out of order or not and they are all very good people and are not rude! Ps. I think that the lady who works there [vivian] i think is very kind and is a very hard working woman and should be running the place if she already isn't, because i think she already does to much if not enough. Pss. Mark is also a very kind hard working person and is not rude i don't know why people keep saying that? well i say that TLC looks very nice because of him and he is a nice person. =] And now they open at 7:30am - 8:30pm Mon-Fri, 8:30am - 8:30pm Sat-Sun.

Wow! Who knew that City Squares would be home to a soap opera for a laundromat? LOL Okay, as someone who does laundry at TLC often and knows their staff pretty well, here's my unbiased review: 1. It is true that this laundromat has way too many 'out of order' washers and dryers. But this expected when the machines are as old as John McCain! If you want to get in and get out (as all laundromats should strive to do), I'd recommend going in early or shortly before their last wash of 7pm. 2. I'm not sure why Mark has received 2 negative feedbacks on this site, but he is NOT rude - well, not always! LOL In fact, he's funny as hell and can be very personable. 3. Vivian is a really nice lady but is way too slow behind the counter. She does seem to be a bit of a know-it-all (sorry, Viv). I've noticed that when customers drop off or pick up laundry, she can be as slow as molasses with getting them in and getting them out, and there can be some really impatient customers. 4. Brad...WELCOME BACK! Brad is, in my opinion, the best attendant at TLC; personable, welcoming, friendly, and he seems to be the only one who keeps the laundromat nice and clean - at all times! I'd say Brad's work is very much under appreciated. And, yes, it's true - this guy knows how to fold laundry professionally - all those years of being a Retail Queen, I guess. LOL And I'm not sure I'd say he's "Super Hunky" - just good on the eyes. LOL TLC is THE best laundromat in the South End. Clean, friendly staff, convenient hours, and gay-operated. I've recommended it to many of my friends who now go there for all their dry cleaning services.

Oh, the things you find while perusing the WWW. I'd never even heard of CitySquares but I saw the advertisement painted on the sidewalk in front of what used to be Thai Village. Anyway, I used to be a customer of Tremont Laundromat. Yep, used to be. The new owner went in and did wonders to the place. And it was clean and always staffed with really cool, nice people. But I agree with South End Goddess - the skinny dude (Mark?) in there is very rude. I dealt with it for a while but when I found out that the other guy, Brad (now you know Goddess), left, I left as well. Also, the place is no longer clean, too many machines are often out of order, and their dry cleaning service sucks - and it took almost 3 days to get my laundry back (and one of my shirts was ripped!). I now trek my laundry and dry cleaning to Executive Cleaners. The guys there aren't very sociable, but at least they're not rude - and I know their machines work! Unfortunately, Tremont Laundry is becoming just like your other laundromats - dirty, dingy, unkept, and bad customer service.

I've never seen a laundromat as nice as this before (okay, truth be told, I've not been in that many in young Goddess years). :) The place is always kept clean - especially by the Super Nice, Super Hunky attendant Brian (I think it's Brian - it could be Bryan!). LOL Anyway, the beautiful blonde boi! The only complaints: too many machines are often out of order and the night shift attendant (Mark?) isn't very friendly. But this place is awesome! It's definitely a great place to do your laundry in the South End! This South End Goddess gives it 5 stars!
