This place is amazing! Great hair cuts, you can read the Robb Report while sipping a drink before your cut. Takes the standard barber shop to a WHOLE new level.

Classiest barber shop in the Boston area, unquestionably. They treat you like a king. Professional barbers, very gentile atmosphere. Don't worry who you get at State Street Barbers, they're all total professionals. Great product selection too including high-end shaving kits.

My boyfriend got his hair cut here after going to a chop shop in the back bay for a long time. He looked SO GOOD!! They did his eyebrows, his neck, his ears (yes, he needed all that). But really, he looked so clean cut when he got home I couldnt stop admiring him. Ask for the guy who does the hair for some Patriots and Celtics players.

Like Beezle said, "this place is the bomb." It's true. If you judge a barber by how itchy you are when you leave you'll never need to go anywhere else. The barbers here are so meticulous. Every last lingering hair that you'd spot at home is removed before you have a chance. And when they're done, they wash your hair and even give you a shoulder massage. I've gone here during my lunch break and I'm not itchy or covered in bits of hair all day long. Call me gross, but I don't even shower when I get home. Anyway, State Street Barbers is the best barber shop I've ever been to. I plan to go for years to come.

Man this place is the bomb. I was going to a place for years, and it was great. Well, that is until I went to State Street. Just when I thought barber shops were gone - and what I'd experienced as a kid in NY with my father every 2 weeks was no longer out there, I found these guys. I gotta tell you, everyone here is great - but my barber Val is definitely a pro. Professional, and fun too. Peter, the owner, is a classy guy. I could go on and on. If you havent been - GO!!!
