My fascination with jewelry began years ago when I took an after school job polishing finished pieces. Eventually I moved from polishing jewelry to creating it. I developed my skills under the watchful eye of a well-respected jeweler in downtown Boston. It was during that apprenticeship that I discovered the extremely satisfying feeling of taking raw materials and crafting them into beautiful unique pieces of jewelry.
One reason I love creating individual pieces is that I get to collaborate with my clients. In turn, each piece of jewelry is representative of their personality and tastes. Before I create a piece, I like to discuss factors such as whether this will be for every day wear or just for special occasions, as well as budgetary concerns. Prior to producing a piece, I like to sketch it and have the client view it so that they may see my vision.
