Sassy Shears in Blackstone does not honor their work. I had a 4:00pm wedding for my son. It was held outside this past Saturday 8/15/09 and it was hot and humid. I asked Celeste to put my hair up in a french twist. I washed, dried and straightened my own hair- all she needed to do was put it up. My appointment was at 11:00am and it took Celeste 15 minutes to complete my hair. By 2pm the hair pins were falling out, and by 2:40 while on my way to Westport, RI for the wedding, in an air conditioned car with windows closed, my french twist had totally fallen down with pins stuck in it and loads of hair spray holding the hair on the top of my head. Thankfully the bride's hairstylist was at the function and proceeded to fix my hair as soon as I arrived.
Everyone told me I should so back and ask for a refund, so I went back to Sassy's for a refund of the $30 I paid. She said she has never given a refund to dissatisfied customers and offered me a gift certificate... (would you want to go back?) I asked again, mentioning that I cut my own hair and don't need a gift certificate, she said there's nothing she can do. Afterward, without revealing the establishment or stylist, I visited a different salon. Because I don't go to salons I thought maybe that's common practice and asked the two stylist there if it was and they said no, and that I should have received a refund. Well what's what happened to me, I'm sure they have plenty of happy customers, but I am not one of them, and I will not recommend them.
