McCarthys Pub

McCarthy’s Pub in Belchertown is a warm lively spot. The food is surprisingly good for a bar-pub atmosphere. I've had numerous meals and have seldom had a major complaint (my order was once misplaced in the kitchen causing a bit of a delay, so I enjoyed another ale). The waitresses go out of their way to be friendly and service is excellent 90% of the time. Occasionally on an under-staffed night a larger than normal crowd will show up and waiting time will increase accordingly.

visited last night, not warm and cozy like all the rest of the Irish pubs. Service was slow , no acknowledgement when we entered. Did not get our chowder like we ordered and was only told by another waitress, with atitude, didn't have anymore left. asked for substitute and was given the menu back. food was good, once we got it. Our waitress was too busy talking to the keno players up at the bar.
